Miniature Landscape

I was asked two months ago to try to create a miniature landscape scenery using fabric. When I first heard this idea, I thought it was an interesting and a unique challenge. For those that follow me on Instagram, you have already seen a few behind the scenes photos of how I photographed them. For those that haven't, here are the photos.

This project has been a blast to create and a new way to for myself to look at lighting my sets. Here are the final images after retouching.

Dress for Success

Recently, I was asked to be a photographer along with Hilary Littke for a nonprofit that helps women get back on their feet by a friend of ours. The photo shoot was for six women that has had a much harsher life than most of us could ever imagine but has now turned their lives around. The goal of the shoot was to help empower these great women further.

During the photo shoot, I was fairly surprised that all the women were so easy to work with. My thought before coming into the shoot was that some may be hesitant about being in front of the camera, but I was completely wrong. All of them were so vibrant and fun to work with. It was a blast working with with these ladies!

I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this project. These women are great inspiration. Life can be a bumpy one but never give up!

Faces through Time: small exhibition

I would like to thank the staff at Nikkei Manor for working with me and allowing me to photograph their residents, as well as the residents for their participation and the stories that they have shared with me. This project has been a fun experience for me and I will continue to work on adding to this series and one day hopefully create a space for anyone to see these faces. This is only the beginning.
